A game of relation.

The Glass Bead Game is a place for two people to think together in public. A dialogue may move through language, mathematics, music, images, code, and the natural sciences. Each turn places one bead — a theorem beside a fugue, a photograph beside a proof — and names its relation to an earlier move.

There is no score and no demand for speed. Players shape a line of thought; others may witness it, save it, and return when it continues. A dialogue may unfold over an hour, a season, or many years.

The aim is not agreement. It is attention, relation, and the pleasure of seeing one form of knowledge illuminate another. Begin when you are ready.
